Assembly 2024 was unforgettable gathering for B Corps, designed for connection and catalysing change.
26 - 28 February 2024, Cape Schanck, Victoria
THE WHAT
A Gathering
Assembly wasn't your run-of-the-mill multi-day conference, but it was also more than just fun and games.
As B Corps, we wanted you to question your assumptions, rethink your role in the economy, and be challenged to do more. Pushing the boundaries of business can be scary, but the people who were in the room at Assembly 2024 were a reminder that you aren't going at it alone.
Across the three days, we invited B Corps to be part of interactive breakouts, guided conversations, and healthy debates where we asked the tough questions. We surfaced the issues that matter most to our B Corp community and found out what might be slowing change down.
THE WHY
We were back.
It had been five long years since the whole Australia & Aotearoa New Zealand B Corp community gathered together in person, and a lot has changed.
In that time, the number of B Corps has more than tripled. We've seen global crises of health, climate, and inequality. We've changed the way we live and work, and ushered in a new set of expectations for businesses.
It was high time for us to come together to see what a community of nearly 650 B Corps —contributing more than $16 billion to the economy and employing over 30,000 people — can achieve together.
THE WHO
A place for leaders.
In this space, job titles were not important. Assembly was designed for people from organisations of all shapes and sizes. We welcomed the people from any organisation who:
-
Understood the 'why' of their B Corp Certification
-
Could influence change internally
-
Understood the ins and outs of the business, including what's slowing down progress
We were extremely fortunate to be in the presence of people like author Carl Rhodes, Annie Pistikakis from Who Gives a Crap, and our very own Clay Brown, Head of Standards, Certification, & Product Delivery for B Lab Global.

ABOUT THE VENUE
RACV Resort,
Cape Schanck
(Tunnahan)
We chose this venue because we wanted you to step away from the daily grind and see some (real) horizons. Being in the city meant that people might drop in for half a day and miss out on what it means to be present at an event like this. It might sound obvious, but to connect, sometimes you need to disconnect first.
While Cape Schank may be a trek for some, you’ll surely appreciate this picturesque landscape and the clarity it can bring. It'll encourage a new perspective to help you reconnect with your business' purpose and like-minded leaders in the space.
If you've never been, we are confident you will come to love this stunning coastline as much as we do. And in the future, we hope to bring this event across Australia and Aotearoa to share the experience with as many people as possible.
